Skill-Set

Monroe is 282 pounds to go with that 5’11” so he is massive and he uses his lack of height to his advantage. He consistently gets underneath offensive lineman and drives them back before disengaging to make the play. His initial hit always jars offensive lineman backward as he gets off the ball so quick, it looks like he was shot out of a cannon.

His quickness of the ball and leverage make him a nightmare for centers and guards alike as he can play the nose or 3-technique. He bursts right past anterior lineman easily as he effectively uses his hand speed to slap opposing offensive linemen’s hands away. Opposing teams regularly double-team him because he would otherwise live in the opposing team’s backfield.
