When I saw quarterback prospect Brett Hundley this year, I saw a kid that needs to stay in school another year. But UCLA head coach Jim Mora Jr. has confirmed that Hundley will enter the 2015 NFL Draft as he told the media not long ago. Yes, he has the talent to be a quarterback in the NFL but that doesn’t mean he’s ready for the NFL at right this minute.
Going into the season, many had Hundley going in the first round somewhere but now, he’s looking like a 2nd-round pick. There’s no shame in being a 2nd-round pick but Hundley could work on some things and be the first pick in 2016. Patience is a virtue as quarterbacks tend to do better in the NFL when they use all of their eligibility in college anyway.
Leaving early isn’t for everyone.
