Knowing that he has all of the traits that I mentioned in the previous slide, you’d think he was ready for the NFL but he’s not. There are two very important things a quarterback must have that are important to both succeed and survive in the NFL. What really showed early on in the season was he processed things too slow and he took too many sacks for not sensing the pressure.

Hundley’s lack of recognition skills caused him to miss on some big plays because he threw the ball too late or not at all. These are two major things he will need to do well in the NFL and he can work on that as he already improved in that area during the season. Showing he could do that over the course of a whole season would make him the first pick in the NFL Draft.
