If you watched the Oakland Raiders vs the San Francisco 49ers, you would have seen the two steals of the 2014 NFL Draft. For the offense, it was quarterback Derek Carr, who was selected in the second round of that draft by the Raiders. For the defense, it was inside linebacker Chris Borland, who was selected in the third round of the draft by the 49ers.

There are some first round picks that have done well this year and then like every year, there are some that didn’t. But it’s a steal when players outside of the first round play like franchise players and are among the best rookies in the NFL. Carr and Borland are such players and so much so, I’m calling them the offensive and defensive steals of the 2014 Draft.
