Arm Talent

Winston’s arm talent is head and shoulders above Mariota as he is also a baseball pitcher that has a 95-mph fast ball. The same applies for him in football too as he has a huge arm and showed it with the darts he threw against the Ducks. And to go with it, Winston showed he is a very accurate passer that consistently threw into tight windows for completions.

Mariota has a good arm but not like Winstons, plus he showed early and often enough that he’s not a very accurate passer. A classic example to compare the accuracy of the two quarterbacks is the interceptions they both threw in the game. Winston threw his into a tight window and it went off of his receiver’s hands first while Mariota missed a guy that had four yards of separation.

Mariota should have had another interception on a badly thrown ball but the Seminoles defensive back dropped it.
