Penn State Nittany Lions left tackle Donovan Smith is a mountain of a man at 6’5″, 335 pounds. And he could probably handle himself very well in the NFL in terms of strength but that’s not all he’ll need. He badly needs to improve his footwork and and technique to survive in the NFL as he isn’t even dominating college.

Improving those two things could mean a 1st-day pick but as it is, he’s lucky to be a day-3 pick. He’s going to be a project unless he develops some things real fast and projects don’t always get a chance to get completed because coaches get fired. His NFL life could be so much easier if he would just wait another year but it’s his bad decision to make.
