The consistency that the unnamed AFC West G.M. spoke of is an issue as Armstead hasn’t been the most productive of players. He has 4.5 career sacks and with his career high of 3 coming this year in his three years with the Ducks. This is a large portion of why I initially thought Armstead should stay in school.

Williams fought an ankle injury himself this year but was still able to get seven sacks, a good number for a 3-4 end. For his career, he has 20 sacks and I make comparison because Armstead has the same kind of talent but hasn’t put it together the way Williams has. But it was encouraging to see Armstead so disruptive in the Rose Bowl against Florida State, who has four offensive lineman going to the NFL this year.
