Bottom Line

Hunter has length, agility, speed, everything you want in an edge-rusher except for skill. And the last time I checked, skill was the main thing a football player needed to be good at football. He should have stayed in school to work on his skill level because you can’t win without it in the NFL.

With 1.5 sacks this past year, you can’t say he won without it even in college. Now, he’s going into the NFL to learn on the job when he could have stayed another year to have a foundation built. I wonder if this is on him or the people that gave him back his draft grade saying he’s a first round pick.

NOLA.com quoted ESPN draft expert Todd McShay saying, “He’s a player with a lot of talent but I also think he’s not ready.

That’s the advice Hunter should have listened to.
