Physical
They call Roethlisberger “Big Ben” as he is 6’5″, 240 pounds and Winston is 6’4″, 235 pounds himself. Like Roethlisberger, Winston is surprisingly athletic for a quarterback his size and he uses it to extend plays. Also like Roethlisberger, he has the strength and build of tight end so he’s hard to bring down and often makes throws with defenders hanging on him.
That size and sturdy build is what NFL personnel people are looking for so they can translate it to durability standing in the pocket. The big arm is also there as Winston can throw it 80 yards and also has the velocity and accuracy to throw into tight windows.
