We already talked about Winston’s ability to throw into tight, NFL-type windows but it’s another thing to do it. This is something Winston consistently does because that’s what he is asked to do out of his pro-style offense. And beyond that, he anticipates where his receiver is going to be and throws to a spot.
More times than not, Winston throws the ball a long time before his receiver has even made his break. And the result is usually the ball and the receiver get to the spot at the same time for a completion. Roethlisberger also ran a pro-style offense in college and the same thing, preparing him to go 13-0 as an NFL rookie quarterback.
