Winston’s Likeness to Roethlisberger Will Sway Tampa Bay

When you’re a big-time gunslinger on the field, you have to learn how to harness that mentality off of it. And Winston has made bad decisions from crab leg lifting, to yelling obscenities while standing on a table at his student center, to rape accusations. He was never charged with anything but he has to know that he can’t hang out with just any random woman.

Roethlisberger, for his part, also faced rape accusations and got himself into a motorcycle accident while not wearing a helmet. In his 20s at the time, he has had a chance to learn from these things and he’s been clean for a long time since. Winston just got into his 20s and has already been through a lot of the same things Roethlisberger has so he can grow from it faster.

Maturing isn’t just age, it’s what you’ve been through.
