Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr averaged a paltry 5.4 yards per attempt the past year. If he has the same slow crew of receivers this year, everything is going to continue to be either short or a jump-ball. Picking speedster Devin Smith gives them the speed they need to have receivers get open down the field to increase that average.
