No. 3: Sammy Coates

Auburn Tigers receiver Sammy Coates is a good all-around deep threat coming up in the draft. He has good size and strength at 6’2″, 200 pounds to go along with and good vertical to go up and get one. But his main feature is his speed as he was clocked at 4.35 by his coaching staff at Auburn and he uses it on the field to leave defenders.

Coates’ season was a bit of a disappointment to me as he had some drops and his numbers went down from last year. But still, he remained a big-time deep threat as he averaged 21.8 yards per catch. His career average is 21.4 to back up that this (a deep threat) is who he’s always been.
