The Book on Gurley

Looking at all of the scouting reports across the NFL personnel world, Gurley has no weakness. They rave about his power, balance acceleration through the hole and patience to let plays develop. They also rave about his speed to take one to the house from anywhere at any given moment.

And it doesn’t stop there as they love his hands to catch the ball out of the backfield. Then there’s his willingness and ability to pick up blitzes so he can protect his quarterback in the pocket. The comparisons he draws from the personnel world are Lynch and Jamal Lewis.

Then of course, the red flag on Gurley is the ACL tear he sustained in mid-November of 2014. There are questions as to whether or not he’ll be ready by the beginning of next  season or at what point he’ll be ready. He also missed three games in 2013 with an ankle injury to raise even more durability questions.
