The Game

If Orchards week of practice wasn’t enough, he showed that he could play on the edge in the game too. He was very disruptive in the game and as a matter of fact, he was the star on defense on the North squad. Orchard tied for a team-high five tackles, two for a loss and two quarterback hurries while juggling end and linebacker.

Orchard’s performance drew rave revues from NFL Network Draft analyst Charles Davis at the game. He said of Orchard, “He showed a few moves out there this week and some power. Especially with his ability to get underneath blockers and drive them straight back to the quarterback, whether he was doing it with his and in the dirt or as a stand-up outside linebacker.

Anyone watching the game could see that he looked like the best defensive player on the field that day. I don’t know what his 40-time is but his get-off and burst around the edge really stands out. And the moves Davis spoke of are just to confirm that this is a guy that knows how to rush the passer.
