The undervalued position of running back actually has some 1st-rounders in the 2015 NFL Draft. So they’re calling this the year of the running back as they rarely get picked in the first round anymore. Georgia Bulldogs running back Todd Gurley along with Melvin Gordon of the Wisconsin Badgers headline the class.

Nebraska Cornhuskers running back Ameer Abdullah just earned himself a little hype from his performance at the Senior Bowl. Then there’s 2,000-yard rusher Tevin Coleman of the Indiana Hoosiers getting his name tossed around a little. But there’s a guy that may be the most complete back coming out that’s flying under the radar.

USC Trojans running back Javorius “Buck”Allen has no hype on him coming out and that’s unusual of a Trojan tailback. My guess is it’s because the program is down as they didn’t have much depth this year because of the sanctions against them. That lack of scholarships cost them late in some big games this year that could have put them back on the map.

But that didn’t stop the hype from coming to defensive lineman like Leonard Williams. Well, unfortunately, like the rest of the Pac-12 and NFL, USC is all about the quarterback and receiver on offense. So they don’t feature Allen enough to get the hype that a player of his skill-set should.
