Round, 3: Phillip Dorsett

Deceased Raiders owner Al Davis has been looking for the next Cliff Branch every since he retired. He had a chance to get Desean Jackson a few years ago but he didn’t pull the trigger on him. Now, McKenzie is in office and in the name of Davis, he has to come through and make this pick.

Picking a guy like this to go with the big arm of Derek Carr could make winners out of the Raiders. Dorsett would open up the running game and the short passing game by taking the safety out of the box. Opposing defenses cheated up to play the short pass and run at the same time this past year because the Raiders had no one that scared them.

You put Dorsett out there and the safeties have to back up instead of crowding the line of scrimmage or get taken up top. He’s a great route-runner too so he will get yards of separation from whoever is trying to cover him. Receiver Rod Streater, Thomas and running back Latavius Murray will love him for how he makes life easier for them.
