Round, 4 Ronald Darby
After being projected into the first couple of rounds originally, Florida State Seminoles corner Ronald Darby has fallen to the fourth. I’m not sure why that happened because I still had him in the second round but since that’s where they have him the Raiders can take him there. It’s just a simple case of taking the best player available and they will get that with Darby here.
I believe this is the year for 2013 1st-round pick D.J. Hayden and T.J. Carrie is an up-and-comer too. Keith McGill showed up late in the season after finally getting healthy so he’s going to have some say in who gets on the field too. But you can never have too many good corners, especially with the injuries at the position this past season.
Tarrell Brown and Carlos Rodgers were horrible last year and somehow rated as average with the ESPN-Pro Football Focus rating. But they shouldn’t be back next year as they were on one year deals that are now expired. So the Raiders can let that youth take over at corner and lock down opposing receivers.
