Round, 5: Taiwan Jones
Perryman is going to need a tag-team partner to thump with at inside linebacker in 2015. And I predict that Taiwan Jones will be a late-round steal and start along side Perryman this year. The reason why he’s projected to go this low is because this was his first year playing middle linebacker after starting at outside for the previous two.
And Jones made the transition with a bang that only Jones can make that transition with. Position coach and defensive coordinator Mike Tressel said of Jones to MSUSpartans.om, “Taiwan Jones has the physical measurables NFL teams love. In addition he delivers a blow unlike any other we’ve ever coached. Taiwan is so powerful, he has the ability to stun an offensive lineman.”
Jones was the main reason why his Michigan State Spartans held Nebraska Cornhuskers mercurial running back Ameer Abdulla to just 45 yards on 24 carries. He created a buzz during East-West Shrine week, proving to be more than a run-stuffing thumper too. He’s already went from outside to middle linebacker so middle to inside linebacker will be easy for this thumper.
