What I See

Now of course like the scouting world, I have to love Strong’s size and physicality at his position. There’s not much not to like about a receiver that’s 6’3″ 215 pounds playing against a corner that’s 5’11”, 192 pounds. He can bully him around at the line of scrimmage when the ball is coming, and running after the catch.

What I really like about him is his hands, as from watching all the Top-5 receivers, he catches the ball the cleanest. I also saw less drops from Strong than I did from any of the Top-5 receivers in the draft. Another good quality I see is his body control to adjust to the football and make grabs in tight spaces.

That ability makes him more of a red-zone threat as he can extend and get his toes down in the corner of the end-zone. I don’t agree with the scouting world’s assessment of his route running as from what I see, it makes him more of a deep threat because he will hit you with a double move. But I would like to see him extend his hands a little more to high-point the football.
