My Take

Strengths: I definitely agree with Rang and Brugler’s take on his ability to get to the second level in the run game. And at 6’6″, 322 pounds with long arms, his body type is what NFL personnel people look for in a franchise left tackle. He has every physical and-or athletic ability to go with that frame too.

That “special foot quickness” was more than visible when in pass protection in the tape I saw of him too. I also like his explosive hand punch and his ability to anchor when the bull-rush comes. I don’t see him as the mauler Zlerlien sees him as in the run game but but he’s a very solid run blocker.

Weaknesses: I do have to agree with Zlerlien in that he will lean and throw his head into blocks at times. But that isn’t often and Rang and Brugler touching on how he’s late off the snap in loud environments is true but happens to the best of left tackles. When you’re on a silent count, you often end up waiting until the defensive player moves first.
