Bottom Line
Can he improve in coverage?
He most certainly can!
But he’s not that bad out in coverage or out in space the way the scouts in the article says he is. Or maybe they’re comparing him to UCLA Bruins inside ‘backer Eric Kendricks as he covers very well. But either way, he’s not Kendricks in coverage and a 2nd-round grade is fair but I make him my starting Mike when I take him in the second.
And no, I don’t take him off the field on third down, I let him improve in coverage as I know he will. The bottom line is that if you pick Perryman, you get a regulator in the middle of your defense. Your defense also gets much tougher as he is that kind of leader and he does what you pay him to do, hit!
