Scouts’ Take
Dane Brugler and Rob Rang of CBSSports.com said of, Agholor, “Like fomer teammates Marquise Lee and Robert Woods, Agholor sports a lean, athletic frame, good lateral agility to elude and sudden acceleration. Shows good quickness and balance as a route-runner and is asked to run a variety of routes in USC’s pro-style scheme.
Athletic pass-catcher with sharp cuts before and after the catch and body control to make fluid adjustment on the ball. Generally catches the ball cleanly and secures it quickly. Runs hard and picks up speed as he goes, showing surprising toughness as a finisher to get every yard he can. Tends to be a little wild in his movements at times.”
Ryan Broles of NFL.com said, “Runs a good route and competes very hard on every snap. Able to drive defender into a poor leverage position. Bouncy, quick feet for burst out of breaks. Highly instinctive in open space with consistent feel for working his way back to open spaces as a presentable, ready target. Dominated competition over the second half of the year.
Quicker than fast. Has some straight-line to him with just average fluidity through hips. Unable to blow by cornerbacks and get separation over the top. Play strength is below average. Will have to prove he can work inside and take punishing shots from NFL defenders. Willing blocker but lacks core strength to be consistently effective at it.
