Those of you… Okay, those of us that are fantasizing about Demaryius Thomas leaving the Denver Broncos for one of our teams need to quit. Yes, I’m talking to myself too because the Broncos will NOT let Thomas out of Denver for nothing right now. At 27, he’s in the prime of his career and he’s one of the best receivers in the NFL today.
Broncos G.M. John Elway would cut Manning before he lets Thomas leave the Broncos. But that’s not an issue as Elway wants to continue his run toward a Super Bowl Title with Manning for at least another year. And while Manning wants another year to make a run at a Super Bowl Title, Thomas is a part of that plan.
The Broncos look good on defense but need to sign nose tackle Terrance Knighton, No. 15 on the list. From there, the Broncos can bring in Baltimore Ravens running back Justin Forsett, an unranked free agent. Then it would be much more likely that the Manning-Thomas connection accounts for a Super Bowl win instead of stats.
