In this NFL Draft scouting report, we’ll take a look at Miami Hurricanes tight end Clive Walford. Tight ends like Rob Gronkowki, Antonio Gates and Jimmy Grahm, are their team’s No. 1 receiver. The position is now getting big contracts and they’re going earlier and earlier in the NFL Draft.

Back in the day, they were drafted in the late rounds and were converted offensive tackles. But know, they’re NBA rejects that are very athletic and match-up nightmares for an NFL defense. Too athletic for linebackers and too big for corners and safeties, it’s easy to see why the position is evolving into what it is.

And in comes Walford, who showed out for scouts during 2015 Senior Bowl Week.

So where does he fit as a tight end prospect.
