TCU Horned Frogs athletic inside linebacker Paul Dawson is projected to go in the second round as of right now. His skill-set translates more to an outside linebacker and he grade of six is right there with the best linebacker as the highest is 6.3. That grade, according to NFL.com, is going to get a lot of players picked in the first round this year.

If anything, his 136 tackles, 20 for a loss and six sacks should have him somewhere in the first round. The burst he showed off the edge on tape made him look like a 1st-round pick on the outside. But that won’t be the case for Dawson as his character concerns have brought his stock down.

Of Dawson Zlerlein quoted an NFL scout as saying, “He’s an early-rounder with out any question, but you don’t have to dig around deep or long to realize his personal character is going to be a major issue with some teams. My grade will be two rounds later than the talent grade. It has to be factored in.”
