Eye For Mariota

According to a December, 20,  2014 report by Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com, the Browns seem to have already had enough of Manziel. Browns head coach Mike Pettine admitted that even if Manziel, “hits in out of the park” in the last two games he would start in, they would still have doubts. And if Manziel didn’t play well, Pettine and the Browns would have “a ton of doubt.”

He didn’t play well and looked unprepared to play so the Browns must be ready to move on from him. Quarterbacks that get picked in the first round are usually given 2-3 years before teams give up on them. But Browns G.M. Ray Farmer has had an eye for Mariota for a long time now, also according to Cabot’s report.

Cabot says in the report, “Since last year, league sources have been telling Cleveland.com that Farmer is enamored with Mariota, the 6-4, 215 phenom from Oregon.” So those two 1st-round picks the Browns have can be used to entice a team in the Top-5 to trade with them.
