If there’s a guy in free agency that the Raiders can say, “We can get this guy.” it’s tight end Julius Thomas. Thomas obviously wants a contract that fits a tight end coming off back-to-back 12 touchdowns seasons. But he’s unlikely to get it with Denver Broncos trying to keep receiver Demaryius Thomas.

There’s already a lot of other players making big money so Thomas (Julius) will leave the Broncos. And when he does, the Raiders are the favorites to obtain his services as the Raiders have the money. Then of course, there was the interview on 95.7 the Game on how he’s from the Bay Area, grew up a Raiders fan and his grandparents are season ticket holders 15 years and counting.

This would really be big for the Raiders offense as they would have a go-to receiver on 3rd-and-7 situations. He would be the Raiders No. 1 receiver from his tight end spot just like Jimmy Graham of the New Orleans Saints. From there, if the Raiders have speed around him and get the running game going, the offense would be complete.
