I’ll believe until I find out otherwise that defensive lineman prospect Leonard Williams is meant to be a Raider. Originally from Bakersfield, California, Williams grew up a Raiders fan and made it known to the public not long ago. I’d even go as far to say the Top-3 teams may stay away, knowing he would be three-year rental if they pick him.

Plus the first two pick need a quarterback and the Jaguars, who are at No. 3, their best player plays the same position Williams does. And with d-line coach Jethro Franklin coaching him, he’ll become the best defensive lineman of his generation. The Raiders already had an older version in Richard Seymour and now they get a young one.

The young man can play any position along the defensive line and do it at a high level. Too quick for guards and too strong for tackles, Williams has the matchup advantage wherever he lines up. Head coach Jack Del Rio and Defensive coordinator Ken Norton Jr. will have fun with this pick.
