Oakland Raiders Mock Draft: Finishing Touches

If the Raiders make this pick, there’s going to be some trouble in the defensive meeting room. That’s because the Raiders already have a defensive back by the name of Taiwan Jones. In this case, you’re just going to have to give them both nicknames and call it a day.

But Jones the linebacker would not be confused for the corner on the field for how he looks or plays. He rattles skeletons and jars things out of place with his hits as he is the ultimate thumper. He’s rated down in the fifth round because he’s known to be suspect in coverage but that isn’t the case.

Jones is much more athletic than originally given credit for and they got a taste of it at Senior Bowl Week. So if he runs a good 40-time at the combine, he’s going to make himself some money. But right now, he’s projected to go in the fifth round so I have the Raiders taking him here and he could mess around and start right away if the Raiders run a 3-4 like I think he will.
