At 6’4″, 340 pounds, guard prospect Adam Shead is one of those huge offensive lineman the Raiders are traditionally known for. But he’s not all looks, this big man is a mauler in the run game and isn’t afraid to go a blink past the the whistle. He’s also not too bad at pass blocking so the the fifth round, the Raiders get themselves a good football player.
This gives them depth in case either Gabe Jackson or Mike Iupati, who I have going to the Raiders via free agency, go down. He would also be good in the jumbo packages near the goal line and on 3rd-and-inches. Shead is the kind of player that would be good resistance for the Raiders’ defensive tackles in training camp.
