Marpet’s Day

Measuring and weighing in at 6’4″, 307 pounds, the first thing Marpet did was show that he has good size. Marpet projects as a center in the NFL and his size-10 hands and 33 3/8-inch long arms are par for his course. He came out and impressed from the start, posting 30 reps in the bench press, tying for fifth place.

His 30 1/2-inch vertical leap was good for 12th place and ended up being his lowest placing of the day. Marpet’s 9-foot broad jump was good or eighth place among the offensive linemen. Then his 3-cone drill time of 7.33 and 20-yard shuttle time of 4.47 were good for second place.

Marpet also looked good in offensive line drills, showing the knee bend and hand punch he needs. On the day as a whole, he looked like more than a Div. III prospect trying to prove he belongs. Marpet looked like an elite offensive lineman prospect while proving he’s the most athletic in the bunch.
