Newly hired head coach Rex Ryan is not wasting time getting things going with the Buffalo Bills. His back-to-back AFC Championship Games in his first two years with the New York Jets tell you he never has. And with the personnel he has inherited on defense alone, Ryan can do some damage in 2015.
For those of you that have concerns about how it ended in New York for Ryan, there’s no need to worry. Ryan was hung out to dry as the Jet’s never replenished lost talent from his better teams. Edge-rusher Bart Scott and corner Darelle Revis were never effectively replaced and a washed up Chris Johnson was the running back.
And at quarterback, Ryan went from bad Mark Sanchez, who he still succeeded with, to worse Geno Smith. Now, Ryan has a little more authority over personnel to build a team he can succeed with. Starting with the trade heard around the football world (LeSean McCoy for Kiko Alonzo), Ryan has already started getting ready for his assault on the NFL.
