The Offense

“Ground and pound”, as we all know, has always been Ryan’s philosophy when he’s on offense. And for the first time in his coaching career, he’s going to have a great running back in his prime. McCoy is going to be a happy man because he will get the ball and the offensive line is being improved.

One improvement is guard Richie Incognito, a nasty-boy and road-grader to help out with that. Youngsters Cyrus Koundjio and Cyril Richardson had a chance to learn and develop last year and could help out this year. If Koundjio could go back out to right tackle and Richardson could hold down one of the guard spots, the Bills would be set on the offensive line.

Then of course, you have receivers Sammy Watkins and Robert Woods, who are very dangerous. When safeties start to crowd the line of scrimmage, those are two receivers that can hurt the defense over the top. When your offense is made this way, it’s much easier for a guy like quarterback E.J. Manuel to manage that game.
