Quarterback
Manuel is now under a ton of pressure to get this NFL-quarterback thing down in his third year. After looking pretty good and winning the first two games, Manuel was bad in the next two and got benched. And there’s nothing guaranteed for him in 2015 as Ryan has already brought in Matt Cassel.
So Ryan intends to at least have an average quarterback if his inherited potential star goes bust. Like every average quarterback, Cassel has had a couple of good years and a couple of not-so-good years. But Cassel actually should have been given more of a shot with the Minnesota Vikings, who chose Christian Ponder.
It will be a competition that raises the floor of the quarterback position for the Bills in 2015.
