Defensive Quarterback
According to reports from CBS New York, the Jets have done nothing to re-sign inside backer David Harris. And of course, also included in the report, Ryan is expected to aggressively pursue Harris. Ryan being a defensive coach and Harris being his Mike linebacker made him the quarterback of his defense in New York for six years.
So being the quarterback of that defense, Harris will teach Ryan’s scheme to the other players. And the Bills will have an even scarier front-seven than they already had on that defense in 2o15. The Bills aren’t to bad on the back end of their defense either but the New England Patriots better watch out.
Their sitting on a $20 million option on Darrelle Revis and if he becomes a free agent, Ryan will do what ever he has to do to fit him under the cap. Most of the media believes it will come down to the winning ways of the Patriots and the money of the Jets. But don’t underestimate what Ryan would be willing to do to get Revis back.
