Randall Cobb

When I found out that Randall Cobb was going to be a free agent this offseason, I ignored it. I didn’t think there was any way on God’s green earth that the Raiders would be able to get him. I thought the Packers would tag him and when they didn’t, I saw where the Packers had enough cap space to keep him.

Last month he was reportedly asking for $9 million a year and according to Packer Report, he’s asking for 12 now. Also according to Packer Report, the Raiders are prepared to offer him $11 million. The Packers are afraid of what their No. 1 receiver, Jordy Nelson, might think when he makes only $9 million a year.

Speaking of afraid, it makes me nervous to see what his production would be as the Raiders No. 1 receiver. James Jones had some good year in Green Bay as a No. 3 and flopped as a Raiders No. 1. Alright, alright, Cobb is a different animal and the Raiders Probably aren’t done addressing the receiver position after that anyway.
