Bottom Line

If you look at the Cowboys, all they really need is an edge rusher and a lock-down corner to go further. And as deep as the draft is at both positions this year, they can address both of those needs. The big thing is not to lose too much of what they have and that offensive line is still there to block for Romo and whoever the running back is.

If it doesn’t work out with Murray, they have a solid plan B with Spiller possibly joining the team. Then on defense, it is not known if McClain is coming back or if he’ll be suspended and one never knows about Lee’s health. But they do have a plan C in Keith Rivers so they are as prepared as they need to be.

So going into the draft needing a corner and an edge-rusher in this year’s draft, the Cowboys are in a good place. Texas native Brian Orakpo has been reported as having interest in going back home to take care of the edge-rushing part. If that happens, they can get a corner in the first round and it on for the Cowboys.

Look out NFL!
