Bottom Line

With the attention he garners alone, Suh will have an effect on the Dolphins on defense in 2015. When rushing the passer, guys like Wake will benefit from the one-on-one match-ups they get for more sacks. Then when opposing teams run, his defensive lineman and linebackers will get a chance to make plays.

Suh will be playing on a defensive line that was good before so they will make those plays, leaving teams to play it straight up at times. This will lead to Suh getting turned loose to make plays himself. But what this move will do the most for the Dolphins is change the perception of their team to that of a rugged team.

Even the players on the Dolphins will start to think their tougher than they are because they play with Suh. That’s going to spread to the offensive side of the building too as tough is a contagious state of mind. Suh’s presence just might lead to other free agents wanting to play with the Dolphins.

The Patriots didn’t pick up the option on corner Darelle Revis, so you never know.

That isn’t too likely but either way, the Dolphins just gave themselves a chance in the AFC East.
