Rodney Hudson
It’s really funny to see how similar to last year this year’s free agency period is starting out. Roadside assistance eventually came for the Raiders and they got there late with a dented truck. But it was still full of money so they were able to snatch Rodney Hudson up from the Kansas City Chiefs.
Hudson is the best center in free agency this year and they said the same thing about Howard at right tackle last year. Howard signed for about $6 million a year last year and had his 6’7″ height, long arms and long legs moved to guard. The good news is there are no plans in place to play Hudson anywhere but center while Howard is moving back to right tackle.
Now, all the tip-top free agents that are under 30 seem seem to already know where they’re going. Someone that’s ready to contend now will probably pick up corner Darrelle Revis, who is now 30. Then receiver Andre Johnson, who was just released by the Houston Texans at 34, will probably get a look from a contender too.
Next: Defensive Lineman?
