The Indianapolis Colts had more than an unfair advantage in free agency this offseason. They went in with a playoff team that has a franchise quarterback in Andrew Luck on it. The Colts also went in with the fifth most salary cap space in the NFL to sign players with.
And when your so close to having a legitimate Super Bowl contender, the needs are obvious. Winning and cap space is a combination that can’t be beat when trying to lure the top free agents. At the end of the day, the Colts went out and got what they needed to make themselves contenders.
And with New England Patriots losing Brandon Browner and Darrelle Revis in free agency, the Colts may be the favorite to win the AFC.
