Weapons For Luck

We all know that Luck is an elite quarterback that can throw it around the yard for big numbers. But unfortunately for the Colts, that’s great for the regular season but doesn’t work in the playoffs. So Luck needs the running game he didn’t get from running back Trent Richardson when they acquired him.

Gore is 31 years old but he has shown no signs of slowing down as he had over 1,100 yards and 4.3 yards per carry last year. The Colts should now be able to put games on ice by running the ball when they get a lead. It also keeps defensive lineman from pinning their ears back and gives Luck some openings in play action.

A running game for Luck is a great thing but the Colts won’t have No. 1 receiver Reggie Wayne. Wayne has considerably slowed down leading to the Colts not even offering him a contract in free agency. So they brought in Andre Johnson, who had 936 yards receiving despite not knowing who his quarterback was from week to week and missing one game.

In 2013, Johnson had 1,407 yards despite playing with Matt Schaub, who’s arm had just about fallen off. People think Johnson has slowed way down because of his numbers in 2014 but that isn’t the case. People are going to see what Johnson still have has left when he gets to play with Luck in 2015.
