The Buffalo Bills look like they’re going all in to make a run in the AFC East for the 2015 season. It all started with the trade that sent linebacker Kiko Alonzo to the Philadelphia Eagles for running back LeSean McCoy. That gives new head coach Rex Ryan just the weapon he needs to ground and pound the way he likes to on offense.
The Bills were really hurting at guard going into free agency so they picked up Richie Incognito. Incognito is a beast, especially in the running game, so that’s a move that will also go a long way in helping the Bills run the ball. Ryan inherited a great defense and he made a good move to retain the services of edge-rusher Jerry Hughes.
He also has experienced starter Matt Cassell coming aboard to push youngster E.J. Manuel to be the starter. This means Manuel will take his game to the next level and play up to his potential or Cassell will give Ryan the game-manager and average quarterback he needs to succeed with his defense. They already have a weapon out there at receiver in Sammy Watkins so it will be interesting to see how they use his speed, depending on who the starter is.
And now, the Bills have added Percy Harvin to attack opposing defenses with even more speed. You can use him in a lot of different ways just like you can Watkins as far as running after the catch underneath as well as deep balls. Harvin is also the offense that sets up the offense as he is a very dangerous return man.
Look out for the Bills in 2015!
