In as deep a class of players as we’ve seen in a while, the 2015 NFL Free Agency period had plenty of player movement. All 32 teams in the NFL had ample opportunity to improve their teams and most of them did. But obviously, some teams did a little better than others and there are five that stood out this year.

Fans focus on star power and it counts but there are more important things in free agency.

Do the free agents fill the team’s needs?

Do they fit the system of the team?

How do they affect the team’s salary cap going forward?

Did the team get role players to help the stars or stars to open things up for role-players?

How well does the team’s free agency set up the draft?

The answer to these questions tells me how well a team did in free agency.
