2015 NFL Prospect Comparisons: Amari Cooper vs Sammy Watkins

Size and Physicality

Neither one of these guys are Megatron but they both have good size  for their position. The funny thing here is how similar I said they were earlier and it turns out they’re exactly the same size. They were both measured at 6’1″ and weighed in at exactly 211 pounds at their respective combines.

Watkins has a very slight edge in arm length with 32-inch long arms to Cooper’s 31 1/2 inches long. Cooper makes up for Watkins’ slight edge in arm length with an ever so slight edge in hand size. Cooper has huge paws at 10 inches while Watkins hands aren’t exactly small at 9 5/8.

Both of these guys are as physical as they need to be but I have to give that one to Watkins. He’s more physical at the line of scrimmage, blocking and tougher to get on the ground after the catch. Watkins showed good strength at his position, repping 225 pounds 16 times as Cooper opted out of it.
