After two years of getting broke off (injured) in a zone-blocking he didn’t fit, running back Darren McFadden broke out in 2010. He had 1,157 yards, seven touchdowns and averaged 5.2 yards per carry over a 13-game span. He was finally the franchise player he was drafted No. 4 overall in 2008 to be, lifting the Raiders from 7-straight double digit-loss seasons to an 8-8 record.
Then the next year, McFadden was really rolling with Jason Campbell (Who?) at quarterback. McFadden had 612 yards and four touchdowns on 5.5 yards per carry in six games, having his Raiders at 4-2 before injuring his foot. He tried to play on it the next week but couldn’t, netting four yards on two carries and ended up having surgery.
Fast forward to 2014 and the Raiders have found a running back a more than capable replacement in Latavius Murray. McFadden then hits free agency and gets snatched up by the Dallas Cowboys, who just lost Demarco Murray, who just led the league in rushing. I am here to tell Cowboys fans that Murray will not be missed by the Cowboys in 2015.
They don’t need to trade for Adrian Peterson either because McFadden got this.
