The Cowboys Offensive Line
The Cowboys offensive line just puts a hat on a hat and drives their respective man back. In the process, they consistently open up huge holes any running back would like the chance to run through. So the Cowboys don’t need a guy to dance around in the backfield—they need a guy to take it straight up the field.
The funny thing about that is my description of McFadden is it’s the same style of running back Murray is. No wiggling, no dancing, just take the ball straight up the field and get what you can that way. He’s not a big running back either so he’s not going to truck a bunch of guys or push the pile for 10 yards.
The two are similar right down to the fact that they both played a full season or the first time in the NFL in 2014.The only difference between Murray and McFadden is Murray isn’t the big-play threat McFadden is. Yeah, McFadden is still as explosive as ever but just hasn’t had the chance to use it lately.
