Nov 29, 2014; Louisville, KY, USA; Louisville Cardinals wide receiver DeVante Parker (9) runs the ball against the Kentucky Wildcats during the second half at Papa John

#3 DeVante Parker, Louisville Cardinals

If I only had one word to describe DeVante Parker it would be “playmaker”.  Luckily I have more so I will continue.  DVP has good size, speed and route running skills.  He’s great at going up and getting the ball and does an excellent job of using his hands and his body to fight for position.  He seems to read defenses well and doesn’t have problems getting open against any coverages.

Had Parker not broken a bone in his foot at the start of this year I feel he would be in the discussion for best WR in this class amongst the “experts”.  He seems to do everything well, but a foot injury to a wide receiver is always going to be a concern and as such I feel he is being rated properly.

DVP should come off the board somewhere inside the first 20 picks.  If he gets out of the top 10, and he probably will, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a team make a move to come up and get him.  He’s got all the tools to succeed at the next level and I feel he’s going to be a starter in the league for many years to come.
