State of the 49ers:
Quarterback Colin Kaepernick has worked with legendary quarterback Kurt Warner on his passing skills. We’ll get a chance to see how that works out a the 49ers have went out and got him some weapons in free agency. Losing a guy like Frank Gore can’t be considered good for a team but the combination of Reggie Bush and Carlos Hyde will offset it.
And also for that offense, the 49ers have to be looking for a guard to replace Mike Iupati. On defense, I don’t the think the 49ers are as bad off as many believe they are with the players they lost. Navorrow Bowman returns from injury and joins fellow inside linebacker Michael Wilhoite to lead the defense.
The defense was ranked No. 5 in total defense in 2014 with Whiloite and rookie Chris Borland. So I believe the 49ers will be okay with Wilhoite and Bowman at the inside linebackers. The real question marks for the 49ers surround the offensive line and Kaepernick to which tight end Vernon Davis said, “You guys are in for a treat,” “He looks like a totally different guy.”
