I know I sound like hip-hop artist Jay-Z but can I get a what-what?

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday that Greg Jennings will sign a two-year, $8 million deal with the Miami Dolphins. The New Orleans, Jacksonville, Baltimore and Carolina Panthers have hand interest in the former Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings receiver since the Vikings released him in March.

The Dolphins seem to be overhauling their receiver corps as they have traded Mike Wallace and cut with Brian Hartline. That was actually some good talent the Dolphins had and if there were problems, I understand the overhaul. But what I don’t understand is Jennings being a part of that overhaul as he appeared to be done last year with the Vikings.

I guess they needed a veteran to help the young group of receivers he’ll be joining how to be a pro. Jarvis Landry is 22, Rishard Mathews is 25 and Kenny Stills is 23 so that must be what Jennings is getting that $4 million a year for. Unless he had an injury that he’s recovered from now and he’ll return to his former self in 2015.

He’s only 31 but injuries usually lead to more injuries.
